Summary Reflection Of My Learning

The biggest learning for me was learning about Mars. What I did not know was that Mars has the biggest mountain in our solar system. Also we can live on Mars did not know that either. Learning on Mars was fun.

Stuff I did not know

I learned that Neptune rains crystals. I did not know that Mercury has one cold side. I did not know that Venus is the hottest planet. I did not know that Neptune was the smallest gas Giant. I did not know that Mars and Earth were called the sisters.

What I did not know about my planet

I did not know that Mars has the biggest mountain in our solar system. Did not know that Mars could have life. did not know who Mars was named after. did not know that you can plant potato 's  on Mars. Did not know that Mars has water signs

February 01st, 2016

We watched a Bill Nye the science guy video, On space. We learned some cool facts on space. Did you know you can tell how big space is by looking at it? Well now you know(^_^)! Jupiter or the big red dot on Jupiter can fit x 100 Earth's. So I wonder how many Earth's can fit into Jupiter itself. At the end of the little dipper has our north star on it. And in about 1200 years we will get a new north star called Vaga. But no need for us to worry... Right???? (>_<)

Scale, age and structure of Universe

The scale of The Universe is endless. the structure of the universe is made of lots of things ,stars, colour and cool planets.  The universe is 13.82  billion years old. That is not as old as I thought it would be. This is a picture of the structure of the universe.

Science blog

The environment on Mars is not the same as  Earth. Mars is cold really cold at night. And at night here its cold but not as cold as Mars. Night time on Mars is Minus 125 C. A day on Mars is minus 80 f. Here where we are day time is nit that cold. Here where I am it doesnt snow!!! Mars has sand and no life that we know of. The gravity on Mars is 3.711 thats less gravity than we have so we could jump higher on Mars! So you could fly

my report on Mars

Did you know you can plant food on Mars?  Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. Mars got the name from the Roman god of war, and is often described as the ` Red planet ` due to its redish look in the sky.

Mars is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere composed primarily of carbon dioxide.

Even though Mars has 15% of the Earth`s volume and just over 10% of Earth`s mass, around 2 thirds of the Earth`s surface is water.

One day on Mars 24 h and 40 min.

Mars has to moons.

radius  on Mars is 3,390 km

Gravity on Mars is 3.711 m/s2

Mars is 227,900000 km away from the sun .

a year on Mars is 687 Earth days thats about 2 years here

Earth is 149.6 million km from the sun. Neptune is 24,622 km that is a lot bigger than Earth. The Earth is 4.543 billion years old!!! The sun is 4.6 billion years old. Did you know that the Milky way is only 100,000 light years away only 100,000!
Their are 200 billion galaxies Wow!!!!

What is Gravity

 Venus What is gravity
Gravity is what pulls us closer to the center of the earth. Gravity Keeps the Earth round while gravity is pulled to the center of the Earth. Gravity keeps the planets moving.

Describe the position , motion and components or our solar system.

The order of the solar system.
Mercury ,Venus , Earth , Mars , Jupiter , Saturn , Uranus and Neptune ! They move in a circle. Some planets rain crystals. Some planets rain rocks. Some planets are bigger than others. It takes us 365 days to orbit the sun. A year on Neptune is 165 earth years thats a long time to orbit the sun. Venus spins the opposite way. So  Venus spins backwards to us. Mars is smaller than Earth. Neptune lies on its side and rolls on its tummy. Saturn has 8 rings rapped around it
